Privacy Policy

The short version: HopTuu does not collect, store, or share your personal data. The only personal information the app ever uses is your device's location — and only if you grant permission, only to center the map, and only on your device. We don't sell data, run ads, or track you.

Who we are

HopTuu ("we," "us," or "the app") is an independent app that helps you explore your city on a richer, more intuitive map. You can reach us anytime through our support page.

Information we collect

HopTuu is built to collect as little as possible. In normal use, the app collects no personal data about you at all. The one exception is location, and only with your permission:

Location

If you grant permission, HopTuu uses your device's location to center the map on the city around you and show nearby places. This is used on your device to display the map — your location is not stored by us, sent to our servers, or shared with anyone. You can decline or revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings; the app still works, you'll just start from a default view.

No analytics, usage, or technical data

HopTuu does not collect any analytics, usage, or technical data. There is no tracking or analytics built into the app, and we do not gather information about how you use it. (Note: while HopTuu is in Apple's TestFlight beta, Apple may collect its own crash and usage diagnostics under Apple's policies — that is controlled by Apple, not by us, and you can manage it in your device settings.)

If you contact us

If you reach out through our support page, we receive the name, email address, and message you choose to send, so we can reply and help you. That's the only time we receive any information from you, and only because you sent it.

How we use information

• To show you the map and the places around you (using your location only if you allow it).
• To reply to you if you contact support.

That's it. We don't use your information for advertising, profiling, or anything else.

Map & place data

HopTuu displays map and place information from third-party sources (such as OpenStreetMap contributors and map tile providers). Your use of the map may be subject to those providers' terms.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your personal information.
• We don't show your private details to other users.
• We don't track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising.

Data retention

We keep support messages only as long as needed to help you and keep records of our correspondence. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.

Children's privacy

HopTuu is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

• Turn location permission on or off in your device Settings.
• Contact us to ask what we hold about you, or to request deletion.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may be highlighted in the app or on this site.
